- Rocksteady Studios is looking for an exceptionally talented OPERATIONS DIRECTOR to add to its family of permanent staff.
- Reporting to the Studio Director, this role is an exciting opportunity to work with studio management, department managers, Directors and Leads to continue improving Rocksteady Studios as a great place to work for everyone.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Analysis: Excel, Google Sheets

SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Experience making company level decisions with successful results (both for execs & team)
- Demonstratable networking amongst developers in AAA studios
- Deep understanding of the games industry: studios, games, network, teams
- Experience in Diversity and Inclusion projects
- Production experience on games titles
- Understanding of various teams and disciplines across a modern, AAA games studio
- Ability to build relationships across the studio: all disciplines and seniorities
- Balance between ‘big picture’ thinking and attention to detail
- Comfortable communicating to whole studio: on Slack, email or in Team Meetings
- Skilled & persuasive negotiator
- Passionate gamer
Your Tasks
STUDIO STRATEGY SUPPORT – Assist the Studio Director in the studio strategy:
- Take long-term view of the industry & implement changes to stay ‘ahead of the curve’
- Identify key company issues and create special projects to address these issues
- Work with the relevant department Directors & Leads to implement these projects
- These projects can overlap with any team or department i.e. Admin, Finance, HR, IT or Production
PROJECT STAFF SUPPORT – Ensure the staffing needs are met
- Responsible for project staffing planning and strategy
- Developing the skills of current staff through training & mentoring programs
- Managing pay and performance review processes
- Responsibility for setting salary, bonus & deciding promotions
TOOLS & DATA – Manage the studio’s use of studio tools including:
- Management of a 3 person web-development team
- Design & management of tools to improve studio efficiency & motivation of it’s staff
- Assessing whether the desired solution should be created internally or purchased
- Monitoring and assessment of 3rd party tools to understand the ‘cutting edge’
STUDIO PR – Work with Marketing to ensure the company is reflected as a world-class studio:
- Accountable for the overall company profile in the industry
- Accountable for the company website
- Responsible for the company social media profile
INDUSTRY PARTNERS – Work with partners to ensure the studio helps the wider industry:
- Responsible for relationships with 3rd parties including Bafta, Special Effect, universities, GI.biz, etc.
- Responsbile for studio’s submission to GI Best Places to Work & Best Companies to Work For
- Ensure the studio helps out universities and charities through staff participation
